King Crab Processing Tour
In October ‘07 I took a crab-buying trip to the Trident Seafoods processing facility on Saint Paul Island. It is the world’s largest crab production facility. The efficiency of the plant was amazing, and I took a lot of pictures. I wanted to show our customers how the fresh (& frozen) king crab we offer is processed. If you’re curious, join me on a king crab processing tour.
On a separate note, I had extra time while on the island, so I walked down to the beach and was able to take some pretty good pictures of fur seal pups. Pretty adorable little things.
Very cool walkthough of King Crab processing. Thanks for the cool slideshow and I’ll be ordering crab soon! (fOR THANKSGIVING here on the East coast)
I’ve spent the past hour exploring and reading your Fish Ex website and have fully enjoyed the photos, tours, information and education I experienced. Deadliest Catch has given me great respect for what men go through so that I may enjoy my most favorite of meats. Now, your website has extended my knowledge and enjoyment. I will be checking from time to time for your articles and hope you will be writing about the remaining crab season. Thank you and your website designer for the time you have put into building a fine website.
